As part of their bumper licensing agreement with Disney Media Distribution, UKTV's Alibi has secured the rights to the third season of ABC's drama series Quantico and W has picked up the third season of CBS' medical drama Code Black. UKTV and CBC have renewed their co-production Frankie Drake Mysteries for a second season. Ten episodes have been ordered for the show's second season, which is expected to air later this year on CBC in Canada and early 2019 on Alibi in the UK, respectively. Alibi is adding a trio of scripted dramas to their slate. Canadian period drama Murdoch Mysteries - which is co-produced by UKTV and airs on their Alibi channel - has been renewed for a twelfth season. Canadian public broadcaster CBC has commissioned 18 hour-long episodes. There will be no Christmas special for season twelve.
