Alibi Sets Premiere Date For ‘Copper’

Copper will premiere on Alibi on Monday September 2nd at 10pm, it has been announced. Copper is set in New York in the 1860′s and revolves around Kevin Corcoran, a tough yet decent police detective, who returns from war to find his wife missing and his daughter dead. On a hunt for the truth, Corcoran divides his time between working cases for the City and trying to piece together what happened to his family.

Major Crimes is getting a second UK broadcaster. UKTV has acquired the The Closer spin-off for their crime focussed Alibi channel. Warner Bros. International Television Distribution handles global sales. The first season of Major Crimes is set to premiere on Alibi later this year.

DCD Rights Sells Australian Dramas ‘My Life Is Murder’ To UKTV’s Alibi & ‘The Hunting’ To Channel 5

DCD Rights has secured UK deals for two new Australian dramas. The international distributor has licensed crime drama My Life Is Murder to UKTV's Alibi channel and four-part drama The Hunting to Channel 5. The deal for My Life Is Murder was negotiated by UKTV's Acquisitions Manager Charlie Charalambous, while Channel 5's Acquisitions Director Anna-Belen Dunlop secured The Hunting for the broadcaster's prime-time schedule. Both series will premiere later this year.
