A+E Networks has promoted long-time marketing and communications executive Anna Priest to the position of Vice-President of Global Brands. In her new role, Priest will be responsible for setting the company’s 3-5 year global brand strategies and marketing plans. She will also review new ways to develop and expand the growth and impact of A+E Networks and will champion the company’s global corporate social responsibility programmes. As VP of Global Brands, she will report to Amanda Hill, A+E Networks' Chief Creative Officer, International.

Following the departure of A+E Networks UK MD Tom Davidson, the company has promoted Heather Jones to the position of Senior Vice-President, Content & Creative. Additionally, RTL Netherlands exec Nicolas Eglau is joining the company as Chief Operating Officer.

A+E Networks UK is undergoing a big shake-up at the top. Tom Davidson is exiting the company, which is a joint venture between A+E Networks and Sky, after serving as Managing Director since 2008. His exit comes as the company is undergoing a management restructuring which will see Dean Possenniskie assume the mantle of leadership as of July 20th as part of his current role as Managing Director, EMEA for A+E Networks.

Heather Jones has been promoted to the position of General Manager at A+E Networks UK. In the new post she will assume responsibility for the company's portfolio of UK channels, which includes History, H2, Crime+Investigation and Lifetime UK.

'Game Of Thrones alum Sean Bean, who is set to star in both ITV Encore's The Frankenstein Chronicles and the second season of TNT spy drama Legends next year, has signed on to present a two-hour documentary special about the Battle of Waterloo for History UK.
