Acorn TV Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘The Sounds’

The Sounds will receive its UK premiere on Acorn TV on Thursday September 3rd, when the show's first two episodes will be available to stream. New episodes will continue to be made available to Acorn TV subscribers every Monday, through to the season finale on October 12th.

Acorn TV To Launch In The UK On April 29th, ‘Queens Of Mystery’ To Get UK Premiere On Streaming Service

Acorn TV is coming to the UK. The AMC Networks owned streaming service has announced plans to launch in the UK on Wednesday April 29th. The service will be priced at £4.99 per month or £49.99 annually and will be available via acorn.tv, Roku, Fire TV, Android and Apple mobile and Apple TV. It will also launch shortly on Amazon Channels and Apple TV Channels. Acorn TV original series Queens Of Mystery will get its UK premiere on the service.

Acorn, RTÉ Order Irish Period Drama ‘Dead Still’

Acorn Media Enterprises - the UK based development division of U.S. streaming service Acorn TV - has teamed up with Irish broadcaster RTÉ to commission Dead Still, a six episode period drama from Deadpan Pictures, Murdoch Mysteries indie Shaftesbury and ZDF Enterprises.

Acorn TV Renews ‘Agatha Raisin’ For Third Season

Acorn TV has renewed their Ashley Jensen fronted drama Agatha Raisin for a third season. The U.S. streaming service has ordered four feature length episodes for season three - up from the three they ordered for season two. "I am beyond excited to be returning to my high heels with another series of Agatha Raisin with Acorn TV", said series star Ashley Jensen. "I can’t wait to get started on her next fun and frolicsome journey.”

Acorn TV Boards ITV’s Martin Clunes Fronted Police Drama ‘Manhunt’

North American streaming service Acorn TV has boarded ITV's upcoming Martin Clunes fronted police drama Manhunt as the exclusive North American broadcaster. As part of the deal with international distributor DRG, Acorn has also acquired Clunes’s newest travel documentary series Islands of America. 

Acorn TV Nabs Exclusive U.S. Rights To BBC One’s ‘Line Of Duty’

This is a major coup for Acorn TV. The North American streaming service has secured the exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the upcoming fifth season of BBC One's Line Of Duty in a deal with Kew Media Distribution. They replace Hulu as the U.S. home to Jed Mercurio's thriller.
