Acorn TV Boards ITV’s Martin Clunes Fronted Police Drama ‘Manhunt’

North American streaming service Acorn TV has boarded ITV's upcoming Martin Clunes fronted police drama Manhunt as the exclusive North American broadcaster. As part of the deal with international distributor DRG, Acorn has also acquired Clunes’s newest travel documentary series Islands of America.

This is a major coup for Acorn TV. The North American streaming service has secured the exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the upcoming fifth season of BBC One's Line Of Duty in a deal with Kew Media Distribution. They replace Hulu as the U.S. home to Jed Mercurio's thriller.

Channel 5 & Virgin Media Board Sophie Petzal’s Thriller ‘Blood’ Starring Adrian Dunbar

Channel 5 is adding a new drama series to their line-up. The VIMN backed broadcaster has acquired Blood, a psychological crime thriller from Riviera scribe Sophie Petzal which is being headlined by Line Of Duty's Adrian Dunbar, in a pre-sale deal with All3Media International. Additionally, Virgin Media has licensed the SVOD rights and will make the series available as a box-set following Channel 5's linear window.

Acorn TV has set the cast for Queens Of Mystery. Julie Graham (The Bletchley Circle, Shetland), Siobhan Redmond (Alfresco, Between the Lines), Sarah Woodward (The Politician’s Husband, New Blood) and Olivia Vinall (Apple Tree Yard, Maigret) have been set as the leads in the North American streaming service's British drama series.
