UKTV's former Director of Programme Acquisitions Catherine Mackin is joining Acorn Media Enterprises (AME) as its new Managing Director. AME is the UK based development division of U.S. streaming service Acorn TV, which airs a range of UK shows state-side and recently moved into commissioning UK originals with both Agatha Raisin season 2 and London Kills. 
Sky One has decided not to order a second season of their mystery series Agatha Raisin, TVWise has confirmed. Despite this, Acorn TV has stepped up to fully commission a second season for their streaming service in the United States. 
Sly Fox Productions - the independent production company set up in 2014 by Linda James and Tim Vaughan in collaboration with Acorn Media Enterprises - has inked a first-look deal with comedy writers Paul Mendelson and Paul Alexander. 
RLJ Entertainment has hired RTE's Shane Murphy to serve as the Managing Director of their UK based production company Acorn Media Enterprises (formerly known as Acorn Productions), TVWise has learned.
