Channel 4 has handed out a fifth season renewal to Ackley Bridge. Ten episodes have been commissioned for the show's fifth season, which started filming this month in Halifax ahead of a 2022 premiere.

Channel 4 has handed out a fourth season renewal to Ackley Bridge. As part of the renewal, the series' format is being tweaked and going forward it will be a half-hour show. Ackley Bridge's first three seasons were produced in an hour-long format. Ten episodes have been ordered for the show's fourth season, which is expected to air in September 2020.

Channel 4 has renewed high school drama Ackley Bridge for another season. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is set to premiere in 2019. That is up from the six episodes that comprised season one, but down slightly from the twelve episode order for season two. The renewal comes on the heels of last night's season two finale.
