‘Castle’ Scoop: Terence Paul Winter & Alexi Hawley Set As Co-Showrunners For Season 8

ABC has set two new bosses for their long running Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic fronted procedural Castle. Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley have been drafted in to serve as executive producers and co-showrunners on the show’s recently ordered eighth season.

‘Uncle Buck’ Picked Up To Series At ABC

ABC has picked up a fourth new comedy for the 2015-2016 season. The network has handed out a series order to family comedy Uncle Buck, a reboot of the 1980s feature films of the same starring Survivor's Remorse alum Mike Epps.

ABC has handed out renewals to Castle, Marvel's Agent Carter, Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, American Crime, Secrets & Lies, Black-ish, Fresh Off The Boat, Galavant, The Goldbergs, The Middle, Modern Family, Nashville and Once Upon A Time. While, on the flip side of that, they have also cancelled Resurrection, Cristela and Forever.

ABC is bulking up for next season. The network, who are now starting to make calls on renewals and cancellations, has picked up their pilots The Catch, The Muppets, Quantico, Untitled Pate & Fishburne Project (formerly known as Boom), Dr Ken, Wicked City, The Real O'Neals, Of Kings And Prophets and The Family to series.

ABC’s ‘Revenge’ Cancelled After Four Seasons

With a little under two weeks until the Upfronts get underway in New York City, the first official cancellation has come through. ABC has pulled the plug on Revenge after airing four season of the series starring Emily VanCamp. The series finale will air on ABC on Sunday May 10th.

‘Castle’ Scoop: Nathan Fillion Inks New Deal, Stana Katic To Exit?

Castle is now on-track for an eight season after series star Nathan Fillion signed a new deal with ABC and ABC Studios. Talks with his co-lead Stana Katic are still on-going and it is presently unclear if she will return for another season. In addition, David Amann, who took over from Andrew Marlowe as showrunner on season seven, is exiting. A search is now underway for a new showrunner.
