ABC has renewed their hit comedy series Black-ish for a sixth season. Additionally, the network has handed out an early series order to Mixed-ish, a spin-off series about Rainbow Johnson’s experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the ‘80s. This marks the second spin-off for Black-ish following Freeform's Grown-ish. 
Shortly after Werner Entertainment inked new deals with the core cast, ABC has renewed Roseanne spin-off The Conners for a second season. While there is no official word on the size of the order for season two, it is expected to be thirteen episodes. 
Medical drama series The Good Doctor - which airs on this side of the pond on Sky Living - has been renewed for a second season by U.S. broadcaster ABC. No word on the size of the episode order for season two, which will air as part of the 2018-2019 season.

Mykelti Williamson, who starred in the eighth season of the Fox counter-terrorism drama as the Director of CTU New York, has been tapped for a recurring role in Kiefer Sutherland's new ABC series Designated Survivor He will play Admiral Chernow, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who quickly becomes one of President Kirkman’s (Sutherland) most trusted advisers.
