EXCLUSIVE: Bad news for 12 Monkeys fans. I've learned that SYFY UK has opted not to acquire the fourth and final season of the sci-fi series from their sister company NBCUniversal International Distribution. It is not immediately clear if either Netflix UK or Amazon Prime Video UK - both of whom hold SVOD rights to the first three seasons - will swoop for the final season. The third season of 12 Monkeys will receive its UK premiere on Syfy UK on Friday May 26th at 9pm, it has been announced. In a departure from the norm, however, Syfy UK, following the lead of its U.S. sister channel, will be making the complete third season available for a "binge watch"; with all ten episodes airing over three consecutive days. The first four episodes will air on Friday May 26th (9pm-1am), with three more following on Saturday May 27th (9pm-12am), followed by the final three episodes of the season on Sunday May 28th (9pm-12am). 
A little more than two weeks before the second season finale is set to air, Syfy has picked up 12 Monkeys for a third season, TVWise has confirmed. The network has ordered ten episodes for the show's third season, down from the thirteen episodes ordered for the first two seasons. 
Syfy UK's newest import 12 Monkeys will premiere on Friday February 27th at 9pm, it has been announced. 
Syfy UK has closed a deal with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to 12 Monkeys, TVWise has learned.
