TNT is brining back hit procedural Rizzoli & Isles. The Turner owned cable network has picked up the Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander fronted for a seventh season, after only six episodes of the eighteen episode sixth season have aired. Notably, the network has only ordered 13 episode for the show's seventh season, down significantly from the order for its current season.
FX is cutting Billy Crystal's TV comeback short. The network has pulled the plug on The Comedians, their half-hour comedy series starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad, after airing one thirteen episode season, TVWise has confirmed.
Showtime has set October premiere dates for the new seasons of Homeland and The Affair. The two critically acclaimed dramas will return to the premium cable network on Sunday October 4th, with the fifth season of Homeland launching at 9/8c, while the second season of The Affair will follow just behind at 10/9c.
Starz's Tom Riley fronted period drama Da Vinci's Demons is to end its run with it upcoming 10 episode third season, TVWise has confirmed. The show's final run will premiere on the premium cable network on Saturday October 24th at 9/8c.
