BBC Two has ordered a new six part comedy series titled Hebburn. Based on the life of stand up comedian Jason Cook, the comedy series tells the tale of the Dixon family and their son, Jason, who has left Tyneside for the bright lights and glamour of Manchester. He’s secretly married a middle class Jewish girl, Clare, and realises that it is about time he introduced her to his family.
Fox has cancelled drama series Terra Nova after just one season. The series, from high profile producers Steve Spielberg, Peter Chernin and Jon Cassar, has been in limbo since it aired it’s finale in December 2011 and Fox’s President of Entertainment Kevin Reilly has now decided to pull the plug.

ABC has announced that its four part mini-series Titanic, written by Downton Abbey creator Julian Felowes, will premiere on the network on Saturday April 14th at 8/7c.
USA Network’s newest drama series, Common Law, will premiere on the network on Friday May 11th at 10/9c, it has been announced.
