TNT has picked up David E. Kelley’s medical drama pilot Monday Mornings (AKA Chelsea General) to series with a ten episode order. The series is being produced by TNT Originals, David E. Kelley Productions and Turner Broadcasting International, with David E. Kelly, Bill D’Elia and Sanjay Gupta serving as executive producers. The show’s ten episode first season is due to premiere on TNT in the summer of 2013.
NBC has picked up comedy pilots 1600 Penn and Animal Practice (formerly known as Animal Kingdom) to series. These are the latest series orders to come down from the peacock network who, earlier today, picked up Save Me, Revolution and The New Normal. All five series join the previously ordered Go On and Hannibal.
Following on from the pickup of Save Me, NBC has picked up two more pilots to series: JJ Abrams’ action-drama Revolution and Ryan Murphy’s comedy The New Normal. Both shows have been handed 13 episode orders.

The second season of Canadian crime-drama series King will receive its UK premiere on Universal Channel on Thursday May 31st at 10pm, it has been announced. The season one finale is currently scheduled to air on the channel on Thursday May 24th at 10pm. The show’s second season runs a longer length of 13 episodes.
