As the next network in line to give its upfront presentation after NBC, Fox has announced its fall schedule for the 2012 – 2013 season. The network’s announcement revealed that they had renewed the ok rated Bobs Burgers for a third season (something that was considered likely given the recent shelving of the long gestating Flintsones reboot from Seth MacFarlane) and cancelled freshman animated series Napoleon Dynamite. Aside from that, the biggest feature of the network’s new schedule is an all comedy block on Tuesday nights from 8pm – 10pm, which will feature returning series Raising Hope and New Girl as well as freshman comedies Ben & Kate and The Mindy Project (formerly knows as It’s Messy). Glee is on the move from Tuesday nights to its new home on Thursday nights, also on the move is the Kiefer Sutherland fronted Touch which will be paired with Fringe on Friday nights. New drama series The Mob Doctor is inheriting House‘s 9pm time-slot on Monday nights. Being held back for mid-season is American Idol, Cops, Hell’s Kitchen, new drama series The Following and new comedy series The Goodwin Games.

The New Normal is one of seven new comedies that have been ordered by NBC for next season. The comedy series, which hails from 20th Century Fox Television, Ryan Murpy and Ali Adler, has been described as being about the daily lives of a gay couple and the surrogate who is helping them have a child. Amongst the 12 new shows that NBC has ordered for next season is Next Caller. Guys With Kids, produced by Jimmy Fallon and Universal Television, is one of seven comedies ordered by NBC for next season. The comedy series stars Jesse Bradford, Anthony Anderson & Zach Cregger and has been described as being about three thirty year old men who attempt to raise their kids, despite never having grown up themselves.
