NBC is getting back into business with Michael J. Fox. The peacock has handed a 22 episode straight-to-series order to a new comedy series headlined by Fox. This will be Fox’s first regular series gig since departing Spin City in the mid 90’s and also represents a return to NBC for the veteran actor who became a household name after starring in NBC’s Family Ties some 30 years ago.

TNT has renewed freshman drama series Perception for a second season. The network has ordered 13 episodes for the show’s second season, which is slated to air in 2013. The drama series joins Dallas, Falling Skies and Rizzoli & Isles, all of which have been renewed by TNT for another season.
