Exclusive: Alibi is continuing to expand its portfolio of crime drama imports. My sources are telling me that UKTV has closed a deal with All3Media International to acquire the exclusive UK broadcast rights to the Australian drama series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries for its Alibi channel. I’m also being told that the show’s 13 episode first season is set to premiere on Alibi in early 2013.

‘The Lying Game’ Jumps From 5* To 5USA, Returns With New Episodes September 29th

Exclusive: The Lying Game is making a move. Multiple sources are telling me that the series has been pulled from its Thursday night 8pm time-slot on 5*, effective immediately. However, I’m being told that rather than staying off the air for two or three months before re-appearing in a daytime slot, as was the case with Parenthoood, The Lying Game is instead jumping to sister channel 5USA, where it will return in its new 12pm Saturday time-slot on September 29th with an all new episode.

BBC One Orders Follow Up To Christmas Comedy ‘Lapland’, Stephen Graham’s Role Recast

Exclusive: BBC One is returning to Lapland. My sources are telling me that the broadcaster has ordered a follow up to its 2011 Christmas comedy. The BBC is not confirming but I hear that this new follow up, which I’m told is working under the same title of Lapland, will form part of the channel’s 2012 Christmas line up. At present it is unclear how many members of the original cast will be returning and I’m told that the only confirmed cast member for this follow up is Julie Graham, who will be reprising her role as Mandy Lewis. I’m also being told that Stephen Graham will not be returning as Peter Lewis, instead the part has been recast and Dean Andrews (Life On Mars) will now assume the role.
