Sky Atlantic Closes Deal To Acquire UK Rights To ‘Friday Night Lights’ Season 3 – 5

It looks like the UK is finally going to get to see the full run of Friday Night Lights. Sky Atlantic has closed a deal with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to seasons 3, 4 & 5 of Friday Night Lights. The acquisition comes as the show’s second season (which has previously been broadcast in the UK by ITV4) is airing on the pay TV channel.

5* Acquires UK Rights To TBS’s Dramedy Series ‘Wedding Band’

Channel 5 has closed a deal with FreemantleMedia Enterprises to acquire the exlcusive first run UK broadcast rights to TBS’s upcoming dramedy series Wedding Band for its 5* channel. The deal was inked last year, ahead of MIPCOM 2011, and will see the show’s ten episode first season premiere on 5* in 2013.

Universal Channel Acquires UK Rights To ‘Numb3rs’

EXCLUSIVE: Following on from the recent acquisitions of Lie To Me and Life, Universal Channel has closed a deal with CBS Studios International to acquire the UK broadcast rights to the CBS procedural series Numb3rs.
