As it turns out Sam Hunter isn’t invincible. After facing some fairly soft competition for the past three weeks (which led to Hunted winning the slot for three weeks in a row), Hunted was unable to hold its own against the season finale of ITV1’s DCI Banks and the network premiere of The Inbetweeners Movie over on Channel 4. The spy drama hit a new series low with 2.6 million viewers and an 11% share, down some 0.5 million viewers or 16% week-to-week. In the overnights, Hunted has been averaging 3.4 million viewers; while in the consolidateds the series is averaging 4.8 million viewers.
Back in September TVWise broke the news that BBC Three had ordered a two hour drama titled One Day Like This which revolved around the events following a fatal car crash. At that time we revealed that the project has been written by Northern Irish TV writer Terry Cafolla and was being produced by the Endemol owned Darlow Smithson Productions, with Nick Pitt serving as producer and Sarah Walker directing. In a subsequent report we also revealed that Sacha Parkinson (Coronation Street), Lily Loveless (Skins), Georgia Henshaw (Waterloo Road), Josh Bolt (Last Tango In Halifax), Lewis Rainer (Dani’s House) & Darcy Isa (Waterloo Road) had all been cast in drama, which was shot on location in Scotland. BBC Three made all of that official today by announcing the commission of the two part drama and revealing that One Day Like This is set to premiere in 2013. BBC Three’s press release follows below….
The UKTV owned Pay TV channel Good Food has given the green-light to a new half hour food series fronted by Valentine Warner. The broadcaster has ordered ten episodes for the first season of Valentine Warner’s Scandinavian Cookbook, which is set to premiere in late 2013.
The Crime & Investigation Network has released a trailer for their upcoming six part documentary series Britain’s Darkest Taboos, which is set to premiere tonight (November 7th) at 10pm.

EXCLUSIVE: FX UK has inked a deal with ZDF Enterprises to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the series of Jack Irish TV Movies. Two movies have been produced for ABC1 in Australia, while another two such movies are currently in the works. I hear that both of the Jack Irish TV Movies (titled Jack Irish: Bad Debts & Jack Irish: Black Tide) are set to premiere on FX UK in December.
The third and final season of the Danish crime drama series The Killing (aka Forbrydelsen) will receive its UK premiere on BBC Four on Saturday November 17th at 9pm, with a double-bill.
BBC One’s drama series Last Tango In Halifax will premiere on Tuesday November 20th at 9pm, it has been announced.
