UKTV’s Dave channel has given the green-light to a comedic travelogue series which will be fronted by comedian Ross Noble, titled Ross Noble Freewheeling. Described as an “anti-travelogue”, the series is being produced by North One Television and has been given an order for six episodes. The series will rely heavily on social media, with Noble calling on fans to decide every step of his journey through Twitter.
Earlier this month TVWise broke the news that TCM had closed a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast to A&E’s drama series Longmire. In that report we also revealed that the series would premiere on TCM on Sunday March 17th at 9pm. TCM made that official today by formally announcing the acquisition. Press release follows below….
FX has renewed its cold war drama series The Americans for a second season of 13 episodes, which is set to air in 2014.
ITV has given the green-light to a new medical drama series set in the 1960’s. The series, titled Breathless, has been given a six episode order and is being produced by ITV Studios. Production on the series is set commence in April. ITV Studios Global Entertainment is handling international distribution.
