It’s Official: Warren Brown, Gina McKee & More Cast In BBC One’s ‘By Any Means’

Yesterday, TVWise broke the news that Warren Brown (Good Cop), Shelley Conn (Terra Nova), Gina McKee (The Borgias), Elliot Knight (Sinbad) and Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval) had all been cast in BBC One’s six episode police drama series By Any Means. BBC One confirmed our scoop this morning and also announced that John Henshaw (South Riding), Keith Allen (Robin Hood), Kate Dickie (Game Of Thrones), Neil Maskell (Utopia) and Martin Jarvis (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) have also been cast in the series. Production is currently underway in Birmingham, with the BBC eyeing a 2014 premiere. BBC One’s press release follows below…

EXCLUSIVE: BBC One has locked down the main cast for its upcoming six episode drama series By Any Means, which is currently in production in Birmingham. My sources tell me that Elliot Knight (Sinbad), Warren Brown (Good Cop), Shelley Conn (Terra Nova), Gina McKee (The Borgias) and Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval) have been cast in the drama as series regulars. I’m also told that Claudia Jessie (Doctors), Richard Lumsden (Vexed) and Paul Thornley (Silk) have landed roles on the series, which (as TVWise previously reported) is being directed by Charlie Palmer.
