The Lying Game is on the move…again. After premiering in the UK on 5* last year in the Thursday night 8pm time-slot, the series was shifted to sister channel 5USA in a daytime slot following disappointing ratings. I’ve now learned that when the series returns for its second season next month it will be returning to 5* rather than staying put on 5USA.

Channel 5 has closed a deal to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to A&E’s two part mini-series Coma. The acquisiton comes after the broadcaster acquired A&E’s other mini-series Stephen King’s Bag of Bones last year, and follows on from recent deals to acquire History’s mini-series The Bible and Irish drama series Love/Hate. Coma is tentatively scheduled to premiere on Channel 5 in May.
BBC Two has given the green-light to House of Fools, a new studio sitcom from Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. The series, which has been given an order for six episodes, is slated to premiere in 2014.
The sixth season of USA Network’s espionage-themed drama series Burn Notice will receive its UK premiere on FOX on Monday June 17th at 9pm, it has been announced.

EXCLUSIVE: TLC is adding a further two scripted series to its UK line-up ahead of its launch on April 30th. Sources tell me that TLC has closed a deal with Endemol Worldwide Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to TV Land’s sitcoms The Exes and Happily Divorced. The deal comes after TLC yesterday announced that they had acquired the UK rights to ABC’s Mistresses and Lifetime’s Devious Maids.
