BBC One Renews ‘The Village’ For Second Season
BBC One has renewed its drama series The Village for a second season of six episodes, slated to air in 2014. The renewal comes after the series proved to be a hit for the BBC, over the course of its six episode first season the series has been averaging a consolidated audience of 7.1 million viewers in its Sunday night 9pm time-slot

ITV has commissioned Ecosse Films to produce a new four part drama titled The Great Fire of London, which examines the effect of the fire on the residents of the city. Casting is currently underway, with production slated to commence later this year.
CBS has renewed its veteran comedy series Two And A Half Men for an eleventh season.
The CW has picked up its The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals to series with a 13 episode order and also renewed drama series Beauty and the Beast and Hart of Dixie. Beauty and the Beast will return for a second season, while Hart of Dixie will return for a third season.
BBC One has ordered a 60 minute one-off TV movie adaptation of David Walliams’ childrens novel Gangsta Granny. The adaptation comes after the BBC successfully adapted Walliams’ Mr Stink last year.
