UPDATE: NBC Cancels ‘1600 Penn’, ‘Guys With Kids’, ‘Up All Night’ & ‘Whitney’

On the heels of picking up five pilots to series, NBC has officially renewed veteran comedy series Parks and Recreation for a sixth season. The pick up is for 22 episodes. Parks and Recreation joins Chicago Fire, Grimm, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Parenthood and Revolution; all of which have been renewed for the 2013-2014 season.
UPDATE, 6:57 PM: NBC isn’t done yet. They’ve just picked up Family Guide (formerly Untitled D.J. Nash) to series with a 13 episode order.
Sherlock Holmes is returning to his native stomping grounds. CBS has just announced that Elementary will film its second season premiere episode in London this July.
National Geographic has released a clip for their upcoming series The 80s: The Decade The Made Us, which is set to premiere in the UK on Sunday May 12th at 8pm.
