In announcing their fall schedule this morning, Fox also announced that they had greenlit two limited event series M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines starring Matt Dillon and a 24 continuation titled 24: Live Another Day. Wayward Pines is being targeted for a Fall 2014 launch, while 24: Live Another Day is expected to premiere in May 2014. While both are envisioned as self contained event series, Fox topper Kevin Reilly hasn’t ruled out each becoming franchises with multiple entries over the years.

Following on from NBC, Fox is the second network to announce their schedule for this fall. There’s a fair amount of movement on the schedule compared to last season. Initially, Bones will stay put in it Monday night 8pm time-slot, before being ported to Friday nights in the same time-slot later in the fall. Taking Bones‘ Monday night slot in late fall is freshman drama Almost Human. Following Bones on Monday nights this fall at 9/8c will be Sleepy Hollow, while The Following will assume the time-slot when it returns mid-season.

BBC Three has closed a deal with BBC Worldwide to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to BBC America’s recently renewed drama series Orphan Black. The deal covers only the 10 episode first season of the series.

UKTV’s Dave channel is extending its existing relationship with Red Bull Media and renewed Red Bull X-Fighters for a sixth season and Red Bull Cliff Diving for a second season. 6 episodes have been ordered for the sixth season of Red Bull X-Fighters, while 8 episodes have been ordered for the second season of Red Bull Cliff Diving. The channel has also announced that they will air a 5 episode companion series to the Red Bull Soapbox Race, which will then lead into live coverage presented by sports presenter Ed Leigh and Radio1 DJ Alice Levine. of the race in London on Sunday July 14th Alexandra Palace.
