It’s Official: BBC Two Renews ‘The Fall’ For Season 2
Shortly after the series premiered as BBC Two’s highest rated drama series in 8 years TVWise broke the news that the core cast of The Fall had signed on to do a second run and that BBC Two controller Janice Hadlow was on the verge of green-lighting the second season. Hadlow and the BBC’s Controller of Drama Ben Stephenson have now pulled the trigger on that and formally renewed the series for a second season.

TV Clip: Deleted Scene From ‘The Fall’ Episode 2
The BBC has released a 44 second clip of a deleted scene from the second episode of their hit drama series The Fall. In this scene, Assistant Chief Constable Jim Burns (John Lynch) asks DCI Garrett Brink (Frank McCusker) for his advice after Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) asks to be appointed SIO (Senior Investigating Officer) on the murder inquiry. The third episode of The Fall airs tomorrow night on BBC Two (Monday May 27th) at 9pm.

Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Anna Maxwell Martin (The Bletchley Circle) and Matthew Goode (Dancing on the Edge) have all been cast in BBC One’s upcoming three-part drama serial Death Comes To Pemberley. Anna Maxwell Martin has been cast as Elizabeth Bennett, Matthew Rhys as Fitzwilliam Darcy and Matthew Goode as George Wickham. Production on the three-part drama is slated to commence on location in Yorkshire in June.
