ITV has renewed its Morse prequel series Endeavour for a second season of 4 two-hour episodes. The show’s second season, which will again be written by Russell Lewis, is set to enter production in Oxford later this year, with ITV eyeing a 2014 premiere.

It’s Official: Vanessa Redgrave & Olivia Colman Cast In BBC Two’s ‘The Thirteenth Tale’

Back in March, TVWise broke the news that BBC Two had commissioned an adaptation of Diane Setterfield’s novel The Thirteenth Tale and that it had been adapted by Christopher Hampton and would be directed by James Kent. Last week we also broke the news that the drama would star Oscar winner Vanessa Redgrave and Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) as Vida Winter and Margaret Lea, respectively. The BBC has now announced the drama and confirmed all of those scoops. However, the BBC fell short of confirming any additional cast members for the drama, but as TVWise has previously revealed Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones), Gordon Winter (Friday Night Dinner), Antonia Clarke (Lightfields), Alexandra Roach (Utopia) and Robert Pugh (Game of Thrones) are also set to appear in The Thirteenth Tale. Alexandra Roach Cast In BBC Two’s ‘The Thirteenth Tale’ Adaptation

EXCLUSIVE: BBC Two’s upcoming 90 minute one-off drama The Thirteenth Tale has added another actress to its already impressive list of cast members. I’ve just learned that Welsh actress Alexandra Roach (Utopia) has landed a role on the drama. A production source tells me that Roach has been cast as Hester Barrow, Adeline and Emmeline March’s governess. Roach’s casting comes after TVWise previously broke the news that Oscar winner Vanessa Redgrave, Olivia Colman (Broadchurch), Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones), Gordon Winter (Friday Night Dinner), Antonia Clarke (Lightfields) and Robert Pugh (Game of Thrones) have all been cast in the drama.
