CBS has renewed their drama series Under The Dome for a second season of 13 episodes, slated to air Summer 2014. The network has also announced that the second season premiere will be written by award winning author Stephen King, upon whose book the series is based.

Margery Bone and Sacha Alexander’s independent production company Bonafide Films, whose recent productions include Talking To The Dead for Sky Living and Undercover for UKTV’s Dave channel, has signed a development deal with the German-based international distributor ZDF Enterprises.
BBC Two and Sundance Channel have locked down the core cast for their upcoming co-production The Honourable Woman. Janet McTeer, Stephen Rea, Lindsay Duncan, Andrew Buchan, Katherine Parkinson, Lubna Azbal, Tobias Menzies, Genevieve O’Reilly, Igal Naor and Eve Best have joined the cast of the espionage mini. The join previously announced main cast member Maggie Gyllenhaal, who is playing series lead Nessa Stein.
The eight episode fifth and final season of USA Network’s drama series In Plain Sight will receive its UK premiere on ITV on Tuesday August 6th at 11:35pm, it has been announced.

After initially announcing that their latest acquisition The Mob Doctor would premiere on Tuesday August 6th at 10pm, Sky Living has moved the premiere date for the 13 episode series to Friday August 9th at 10pm, where it will air behind new episodes of Nikita.
With the recent pick up of Mark Burnett’s The Bible follow up AD: Beyond The Bible, there was little doubt that NBC was recommitting to longform. So it came as no real surprise when NBC topper Bob Greenblatt announced at the Television Critics Association 2013 Summer Press Tour that the network had put four longform projects into development (three mini-series and one limited series).
