CBS Hands 13 Episode Order To ‘Extant’ For Summer 2014
After seeing some success this Summer with high profile scripted series Under The Dome, CBS has lined up another scripted project – again from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television – for next Summer. In a competitive situation CBS has landed Extant; a sci-fi series which hails from newcomer Mickey Fisher. The project has been given a 13 episode straight-to-series order and will air in Summer 2014 alongside fellow Amblin project Under The Dome, which was recently renewed for a second season.

The first season of CBS’ drama series Under The Dome will receive its UK premiere on Channel 5 on Monday August 19th at 10pm, it has been announced.
Hermione Norris (Spooks), Suranne Jones (Scott & Bailey), Oona Chaplin (The Hour), Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey), Kerry Fox (An Angel At My Table), Marianne Oldham (WPC 56), Alice St Clair (Atlantis), Jack Gordon (Captain America: The First Avenger), Alex Wyndham (Little Dorrit), Jeremy Swift (Oliver Twist) and Richard Rankin (Black Watch) have been cast in BBC One’s upcoming six episode WWI drama series The Ark. Production on the drama, which forms part of the BBC’s output for the centenary, is slated to commence this month.
EXCLUSIVE: BBC One’s upcoming three-part drama Death Comes To Pemberley has added three actors to its already large cast. I’ve just learned that Hayley Doherty (Accused), Lewis Rainer (Crash) and Stephen Casey (Emmerdale) have joined the cast of the drama, which is being eyed as a key part of BBC One’s Christmas line up.

Comedy Central UK has announced that they have picked up the rights to The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco, which is being produced for the US Comedy Central channel. The special is set to premiere on Comedy Central UK on Sunday September 8th at 10pm.
Jaime Pressly has been cast as the lead in TV Land’s upcoming multi-camera comedy pilot Jennifer Falls, TVWise has learned. The I Hate My Teenage Daughter alum is best known for her role on My Name Is Earl. Pressly has been cast as lead character Jennifer Doyle.
