Syfy Acquires U.S. Rights To ‘The Almighty Johnsons’
Syfy has closed a deal with ALL3MEDIA International to acquire the U.S. broadcast rights to The Almighty Johnsons, which is currently airing its third season on TV3 in its native New Zealand. The deal covers the first two seasons of the series. The 10 episode first season of The Almighty Johnsons will premiere on Syfy in 2014.

TNT has announced that their new six episode drama series Mob City (formerly known as L.A. Noir and then Lost Angels) will premiere on Wednesday December 4th at 10pm.
Chris Diamantopoulos (24) and Jake Sandvig (Easy A) have been cast in leading roles in Syfy’s 90 minute pilot High Moon, which is an adaptation of John Christopher’s best-selling novel The Lotus Caves. Production on High Moon is set to commence on August 26th in Vancouver.
The short-lived US adaptation of The Inbetweeners is getting a second broadcast in the UK.
UKTV has closed a deal with Passion Distribution to acquire factual series Weather That Changed The World for its Yesterday channel. The nine episode skein is expected to air this October and follows on from the
Channel 5 has given the green-light to a new four-episode factual series titled Living On The Edge, which will feature respected filmmaker Chris Terrill as he travels to some of the most extreme environments on the planet. The series will explore how and why people live in these extreme environments.
Showtime has released a trailer for their upcoming drama series Masters of Sex, which is set to premiere on Sunday September 29th at 10/9c.
