BET International has announced that they have picked up the UK rights to BET’s upcoming original series Being Mary Jane and the TV movie/backdoor pilot for the series which originally aired state-side back in July 2013. The TV movie/backdoor pilot will debut in the UK on BET International on Sunday September 22nd at 10pm, while the series proper will follow in February 2014.

he Middle Man, a hot new drama project which hails from Ben Affleck and Glenn Gordon Caron, has landed at Fox with a pilot production commitment. The project has been in the works since as far back as 2009 when The project dates back to 2009, when Carter and Affleck met actor and screenwriter Michael Yebba and screenwriter Emilio Mauro during production of The Town. The current script is based on a story developed by Caron, Yebba and Mauro.

BBC Four has closed a deal with SVT International to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the Swedish drama series Never Wiper Tears Without Gloves, which originally aired on Sweden’s SVT in 2012. The three episode series will premiere on BBC Four later this year to mark World Aids Day.
Viva has announced that they have picked up the rights to all 9 seasons of the NBC/ABC comedy series Scrubs from Disney Media Distribution. The series, which was initially broadcast in the UK by E4, will debut on the channel on Monday October 7th at 9pm, with a double bill.
