Hallmark Channel Picks Up ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ To Series, Muse To Shop Drama At MIPCOM
Hallmark Channel has picked up its latest drama project Signed, Sealed, Delivered to series with a 10 episode order. The show’s two-hour backdoor pilot will air on Hallmark on Saturday October 12th at 9/8c. Muse Distribution International will launch the first season of Signed, Sealed, Delivered – which consists of a 2 hour backdoor pilot and 10 one-hour episodes – to international buyers at MIPCOM in Cannes, France, next week.
NBC has handed a back nine order to freshman drama The Blacklist, bringing the total number of episodes ordered for the show’s first season to 22.
After two low rated episodes, ABC has cancelled their lotto-winners drama Lucky 7. The series has been pulled from ABC’s schedule effective immediately, with repeat episodes of flagship drama Scandal set to take over the Tuesday night 10pm time-slot.
Two more familiar names are joining Fox’s upcoming 12 episode event series 24: Live Another Day.
Comedy Central UK is expanding into gameshow formats as its continues its push into originals. The broadcaster has handed a pilot order to The Almost Impossible Gameshow, which hails from the Endemol owned production company Initial and just recently entered production.
Adrian Pasdar (Political Animals), Aldis Hodge (Leverage) and Jamie Kennedy have joined the cast of Amazon’s upcoming drama pilot The After, which hails from The X-Files creator Chris Carter.
From Signal Mountain, Tennessee, to New York University at the age of 17, Rachel Boston has had quite the journey on her way to becoming one of the most admired actresses in Hollywood today. With regular series roles in television shows such as American Dreams, In Plain Sight and The Ex List, Rachel has demonstrated the ability to portray a wide range of characters. Add to that movie roles in films such as the Golden Globe nominated (500) Days of Summer, Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past and The Pill, for which she won Best Actress at both the San Diego Film Festival and the Gen Art Film Festival, and she is becoming a force to reckon with in the industry. Rachel’s also added executive producer to her list of credits with the television movie Holiday High School Reunion and the film Black Marigolds.
Fox’s recently announced 12 episode limited event series 24: Live Another Day will be set in London and Europe, Fox Broadcasting and 20th Century Fox Television have announced. The series will also be produced on location in London, taking advantage of the recently instituted high-end television tax relief program and marking the first time a 24 production has filmed outside of the United States since 24: Redemption in 2008. Production on 24: Live Another Day is slated to commence in January, with Fox eyeing a Summer 2014 premiere.
