CBS Developing Navy Seals Drama From ‘NCIS’ Star Mark Harmon

Mark HarmonCBS is re-teaming with NCIS star Mark Harmon for a new drama series. The network has handed out a script commitment to The Red Circle, a Navy Seals drama from Harmon which is based on Brandon Webb and John David Mann's book The Red Circle: My Life In The Navy SEAL Sniper Corps And How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen.

WGN America Releases Trailer For ‘Manhattan’ Season 2, Offers First Glimpse Of William Petersen’s Character

Manhattan S2WGN America has released the first trailer for the second season of their atomic bomb drama Manhattan, which is set to premiere on the Tribune owned cable network on Tuesday October 13th at 9/8c. The new trailer, which runs a little over a minute, offers the first glimpses of William Petersen as Colonel Emmett Darrow, who, when asked who he is by suspected spy Dr Frank Winter (John Benjamin Hinkley), simply responds "the United States Of America". Also confirmed by this trailer: Neve Campbell has joined the cast as Kitty, Oppenheimer's wife; and The West Wing vet Richard Schiff is reprising his season one role as spy catcher Mr Fisher.

‘The Catch’ Co-Showrunners Jennifer Schuur & Josh Reims Exit

ABC's new Shonda Rhimes series The Catch is undergoing yet another creative shakeup. Series creator Jennifer Schuur and her fellow co-showrunner Josh Reims are both exiting the thriller series due to "creative differences". Word is that both had issues with the new creative direction the show is going after it was picked up to series back in May. Shondaland veteran Allan Heinberg is in talks to join the series as the new showrunner, but his deal has not yet closed.

Dave To Fast Track ‘The Last Man On Earth’, Will Air Season 2 Within 24 Hours Of U.S. Broadcast

The Last Man On EarthDave is fast-tracking The Last Man On Earth. The UKTV owned and operated channel has picked up the UK rights to the second season of the Will Forte comedy from international distributor Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, TVWise has learned. The show's second season will premiere on Dave on Monday September 28th at 9pm, less the 24 hours behind the debut on Fox in the United States.

ABC Family has locked down the main cast for Guilt. Daisy Head (The Syndicate), Billy Zane (Titanic), Katrina Law (Arrow), Cristian Solimeno (Rush), Naomi Ryan (Guardians Of The Galaxy), Kevin Ryan (Copper) and Zachary Fall (Crossing Lines) have been tapped for regular roles in the drama pilot, which is similar in tone to the real life Amanda Knox case and tells the story of an American teenager who becomes the prime suspect in her roommate's violent murder.

Jerry Bruckheimer’s ‘Home’ Picked Up To Pilot At TNT

Jerry BruckheimerJerry Bruckheimer's long-gestating TV project Home might make it to the small screen after all. TNT has handed out a pilot order to the hour-long thriller, which was initially developed by current TNT President Kevin Reilly at his former network Fox during the 2013-2014 season, shortly after the exec declared pilot season dead. Back then, Home received a so-called "off-cycle commitment for further investment towards series production", but after Reilly exited the top post at Fox in May 2014, the project was deep sixed.

Comedy Central Acquires UK Rights To ‘Undateable’ & ‘Bob’s Burgers’

Comedy Central UK is adding two US sitcoms to their line-up. The VIMN backed broadcaster has closed a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to NBC's Undateable. In addition, Comedy Central UK has also inked an agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to acquire the UK rights to the third season of Bob's Burgers.
