The most talked about podcast of 2014 may be heading to television. Fox 21 Television Studios has teamed with The Lego Movie and The Last Man On Earth scribes/executive producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller to develop an hour-long cable drama based on Serial, the true-crime podcast from Sarah Koenig and Julie Snyder which became an overnight hit last-year, TVWise has learned.

TNT has rounded out the cast for Home. Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill), Benito Martinez (American Crime), Nicole Muñoz (Defiance), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Roberta Colindrez (Birdman) have joined the cast of the network's hour-long drama pilot from Jerry Bruckheimer, Crossing Jordan scribe Aron Eli Coleite and Warner Horizon Television.

Sony Pictures Television Lines Up International Sales For ‘The Player’

The Player is going global. Series producer and distributor Sony Pictures Television has lined up a slew of international sales for the NBC drama starring Philip Winchester and Wesley Snipes following its debut in the United States last week. Sony has yet to agree a UK deal for the series, though numerous broadcasters expressed interest following the LA Screenings last May.

50 Cent Inks Overall Deal With Starz

50 CentStarz is staying in business with Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson. The premium cable network has signed the Power executive producer to an overall deal which will see him develop new projects for the network through his G Unit Film & Television banner. Under the two-year overall deal Jackson will also continue to serve as an executive producer on Power, which was recently picked up for a ten episode third season.
