ABC Family Renews ‘Switched At Birth’ For Fifth Season

Less than a week before the show's fourth season finale, ABC Family - which is set to re-brand as Freeform early next year - has renewed Switched At Birth for a fifth season. In keeping with their MO the network has not specified the size of the episode order, but season five is expected to consist of at least 20 episodes.

Dr KenABC has handed out a back nine order to their Friday night comedy series Dr. Ken, starring former Community star Ken Jeong, TVWise has learned. With this full season order, ABC has now ordered a total of 22 episodes, matching the size of the order for time-slot companion Last Man Standing.

NBC Cuts Episode Orders For ‘Superstore’ & ‘Hot & Bothered’

SuperstoreNBC is trimming down two of their midseason comedies. The network has cut the orders for both Superstore and Hot & Bothered to eleven episodes, down from the thirteen episodes initially ordered when NBC picked up both series.
