Amidst flagging ratings, ABC has trimmed the order for Sunday night drama Blood & Oil to ten episodes, down from the thirteen episodes they initially ordered when they picked up the series back in May.

Wesley Snipes' return to television is being cut short. NBC has cut the episode order for their Thursday night drama The Player to nine episodes, TVWise has learned. Production on the series will shut down once episode nine, which is currently being shot, is completed.

BBC Confirms Air Date & Title For ‘Sherlock’ Special, Releases Extended Trailer

The BBC has confirmed that the 90 minute Sherlock special will air on BBC One in a prime-time slot on New Year's Day (Friday January 1st) and released a new extended trailer. In addition, in a first, the special will air on PBS in the United States on the same day.
