AMC has handed out a seventh season renewal to ratings juggernaut The Walking Dead, the network announced on Friday. Sixteen episodes have been ordered for season seven, which is set to premiere next fall.
Fox has trimmed the order for midseason drama Lookinglass (formerly known as The Frankenstein Code) to eleven episodes, down from the 13 episodes they initially ordered back in May, TVWise has confirmed.
ABC is extending the run of The Muppets. The network has ordered three additional episodes of the half-hour comedy series, bringing the total order for its first season to some 16 episodes.

ITV has made the case that the BBC should be banned from acquiring international formats as well as U.S. drama and comedy series and films. Several days ahead of the series premiere, Starz has renewed Ash Vs Evil Dead for a second season to air in 2016. The network has not specified the size of the episode order, but season two is expected to consist of at least ten episodes - matching the size of the order for season one.
Some 24 hours after Fox handed out a back-nine order to Rob Lowe comedy The Grinder, the network has done the same with time-slot companion Grandfathered, picking it up for a full 22 episode season.
