NBC Renews ‘Blindspot’ For Second Season

NBC has granted an early renewal to breakout hit Blindspot, picking up the Monday night thriller for a second season. The network did not specify the size of the order, but it is expected to be for 22 episodes, one shy of the 23 episodes ordered for season one.

There's been a behind the scene shake-up on ABC's The Muppets. Co-creator Bob Kushell is exiting as executive producer and showrunner amidst conflicts with fellow co-creator Bill Prady over the creative direction of the Tuesday night comedy, TVWise has learned.

USA Network Sets Return Date For ‘Suits’, Confirms January Launch For ‘Colony’

USA Network has firmed up their schedule for early next year. The NBCU owned cable network has announced that Suits will return with the final six episodes of its fifth season from Wednesday January 27th at 10/9c. USA has also confirmed that their Josh Holloway fronted sci-fi series Colony, which hails from Carlton Cuse, will kick off its ten episode run on Thursday January 14th at 10/9c.

After months of rumours, Amazon today confirmed that they have handed out a ten episode series order to Sneaky Pete, the drama starring Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar) which was created by Breaking Bad alum Bryan Cranston and House showrunner David Shore. The series will stream on Amazon Prime Instant Video in the US, the UK an Germany in 2016.

NBC Eyes ‘Collision’ Adaptation From Anthony Horowitz & Eleventh Hour Films

NBC is developing Collision, an adaptation of the hit 2009 ITV drama of the same from Foyle's War creator Anthony Horowitz and indie Eleventh Hour Films, TVWise has learned. The project presently has a script commitment, with plans to bypass the pilot stage and go straight-to-series with a ten episode order.

NBC is giving their new mid-season comedies Telenovela and Superstore a sizeable launching pad. The network has announced that both series will air back-to-back episode behind ratings juggernaut The Voice later this year before settling into the regular time-slots in January.
