Sarah Gadon Set As Lead Netflix/CBC Co-Production ‘Alias Grace’
Netflix & CBC have found the lead for their co-production Alias Grace. Sarah Gadon (11.22.63, Murdoch Mysteries) has been tapped to play the part of real-life serial killer Grace Marks in the six episode miniseries, which is based on the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name, TVWise has learned. 
Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) has been set as the female lead in Guerrilla, Sky Atlantic and Showtime's six episode co-production about a couple's path from political activism to radical militancy, TVWise has learned.
Freeform has renewed their multi-camera comedy series Baby Daddy for a sixth season, TVWise has learned. While no formal episode order has been set, the network said the pick-up meant that by the end of season six more than 100 episodes will have been produced.
