Paget Brewster Returning To ‘Criminal Minds’ For Season 12, Aisha Tyler Also Back
CBS is bringing back a former member of the Criminal Minds cast. Paget Brewster, who starred as FBI Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss for five seasons between 2006 and 2011, will be reprising her role in the show's upcoming twelfth season, TVWise has learned. Additionally, after months of uncertainty it has also confirmed that Aisha Tyler (Friends) will also be returning next season. 
BBC One is re-teaming with Andrew Davies, who most recently penned the channel's six-part War & Peace event series, for an adaptation of Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, TVWise has learned.
Starz is closing the book on Treasure Island prequel Black Sails. The premium cable network has announced that the upcoming ten episode fourth season of the pirate drama, which is eyed for an early 2017 premiere, will be the show's last.
Following a heated bidding war, involving multiple UK broadcasters, Spike UK has struck a deal with international distributor Sky Vision for exclusive UK rights to ABC's rebooted Battlebots, TVWise has learned. The 'substantial' multi-season deal with Sky Vision will also see Spike UK share rights with sister net Channel 5. Battlebots will initally air on Spike UK this Summer, before airing on Channel 5 at a later date.
After months of rumours HBO has confirmed that the upcoming seventh season of Game Of Thrones will be shorter. Rather than the ten episodes that have been ordered for the show's first six seasons, the network has instead only ordered seven episodes for next season.
Mere days before Star Trek: Beyond is due to be released, Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Bad Robot Productions have green-lit a fourth film in the rebooted Star Trek series, also known as the 'JJ-verse'. The fourth as-yet untitled film will see Captain James T. Kirk cross paths with a man he never had a chance to meet, but whose legacy has haunted him since the day he was born: his father. Chris Hemsworth is on-board to reprise his role as George Kirk.
