Georgina Campbell, who is currently starring in BBC One's four-part drama One Of Us (pictured, right), has been tapped to play the female lead in Syfy's Superman prequel pilot Krypton. She will play Lyta Zod, a member of Krypton’s military caste and the daughter of General Alura Zod. Lyta is a cadet in the caste and has been having a secret, forbidden romance with the as-yet uncast Seg-El. 
AMC has cancelled their David Schwimmer fronted drama series Feed The Beast after a single ten episode season, TVWise has confirmed. 
Veteran character actor Jon Polito - best remembered for appearances in the Coen Brothers' films and the first two seasons of Homicide: Life On The Street - has passed away. He was 65. 
Lifetime has pulled the plug on Devious Maids. The female skewing network has cancelled the soapy drama, from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, after four seasons, TVWise has confirmed. 
Syfy has renewed their original drama series Dark Matter and Killjoys for third seasons, the network announced on Thursday. Dark Matter has scored a thirteen episode order, while the size of the pick-up for Killjoys is staying at ten episodes. 
Parenthood star Jason Ritter has been tapped for a recurring role on David E. Kelley's Amazon series Golitah, which is being fronted by Billy Bob Thornton (Fargo) and if set to premiere on the streaming series Friday October 14th. Ritter will play Joe Farley, a wry but savvy Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. 
Netflix has renewed their breakout original series Stranger Things for a second season, the streaming service announced on Wednesday. Nine episodes have been ordered for season two, which is set in 1984 and will premiere globally in 2017. 
FBI Special Agent Emily Prentiss is returning full-time to the BAU. Paget Brewster, who previously signed on to reprise the role for a multi-episode arc, has been upped to fully fledged series regular status for the twelfth season of Criminal Minds in the wake of Thomas Gibson's recent termination.
