TNT Picks Up ‘The Last Ship’ For Fifth Season
TNT is doubling-down on The Last Ship.
Mere months after renewing the Sunday night genre series for a fourth season, the network has extended that renewal and also ordered a fifth season. After previously announcing that season four would consist of 13 episodes, TNT has revised the episode order and confirmed that both seasons four and five will be ten episodes long. 
The Sinner, an hour-long crime drama starring Jessica Biel, has snagged a pilot order at USA Network. It joins a pilot slate at the network that includes Tony Tost's period drama Damnation and Skull and Bones drama The Tap, starring Colin Woodell (Masters Of Sex) and Erinn Westbrook (Glee).
It's the end of the road for the Al-Fayeed administration. FX has announced that their geo-political thriller series Tyrant is coming to an end with its current third season. The season three finale, which is set to air tonight on the cable network, will now serve as the series finale.
Patrick Moran, who has been serving as Executive-Vice President at ABC Studios, has been upped to President at the studio. He will continue to report directly to Ben Sherwood, President of Disney|ABC Television Group.
Mere days before the season one finale is set to air, USA Network has handed out a second season renewal to their newest drama series Queen Of The South. Alongside the season two pick-up, USA Network has announced that showrunner Scott Rosenbaum is stepping down and will be replaced on the show's second season by Natalie Chaidez, who most recently created and ran the short-lived Syfy series Hunters.
Netflix has picked up their drug trade drama Narcos for a further two seasons, the show's third and fourth, the streaming giant announced on Tuesday. Both seasons three and four are once again expected to consist of ten episodes.

The eighteenth season of NBC's drama series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will receive its UK premiere on Universal Channel on Sunday October 16th at 10pm, it has been announced.
