NBC has picked up their medical drama series The Night Shift for a fourth season, TVWise has learned. There's been a major shake-up on Kevin Can Wait. Veteran comedy producer Bruce Helford, who co-created the CBS comedy series with Kevin James and Rock Reuben, is exiting as showrunner, TVWise has confirmed. He is being replaced by former Cheers scribe Rob Long, who has come on-board as the new executive producer and showrunner. ‘Longmire’ Renewed For Sixth & Final Season At Netflix
Longmire is riding off into the sunset. Netflix has picked up the western crime drama for a sixth and final season, the streaming service announced on Wednesday. 10 episodes have been ordered for the final season, matching the orders for both of the previous Netflix seasons. Holliday Grainger Set As Female Lead In BBC One’s ‘The Cormoran Strike Mysteries’
BBC One has found their Robin. Holliday Grainger has been set as the female lead in The Cormoran Strike Mysteries, which is based on the Strike series of novels by J.K. Rowling (writing under the pen name Robert Galbraith). Grainger, whose previous TV credits include Showtime's The Borgias and A+E Networks' Bonnie & Clyde miniseries, will play Robin Ellacott, who serves as part assistant/part-partner to war veteran turned private investigator Cormoran Strike. NBC has ordered an additional three episodes of their time-travel drama Timeless, the network announced on Tuesday. With the partial back-order, the network has ordered a total of sixteen episodes for the show's first season.
