TruTV is getting in on the scripted originals game. The Turner owned cable network has handed out a 10 episode series order to high school comedy Those Who Can't from Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy - making it their first ever original scripted series.

Netflix has set a global launch date for their first original sci-fi series. The streaming giant has announced that Sense8, their 12 episode series from Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski and The Wachowski siblings (The Matrix), will premiere in every territory where Netflix has a presence - including the US, the UK & Ireland - on Friday June 5th.
