‘Veep’ Creator Armando Iannucci To Exit After Four Seasons, David Mandel Set As New Showrunner
Veep creator Armando Iannucci is set to exit the HBO series he created after serving as executive producer and showrunner for the past four seasons. To fill the void, the network has tapped Curb Your Enthusiasm's David Mandel to serve as showrunner going forward. 
ABC Family is adding two projects to their development slate. The network has handed out pilot orders to Beyond, a supernatural drama from Once Upon A Time In Wonderland's Adam Nussdorf; and Gorgeous Morons, a half-hour multi-cam comedy from Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky and ABC Studios' boutique division ABC Signature Studios. 
HBO has released the first trailer for the second season of True Detective, which is set to premiere on Sunday June 21st at 9/8c.
ABC is looking to expand the Marvel TV universe. After launching Marvel's Agent Carter earlier this season, ABC has reportedly set their sights on a Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off which is eyed for a berth on the network's 2015 - 2016 schedule.
CBS Studios International has taken the format rights to airplane game show The Game Plane after agreeing a licensing deal with series producer Alpine Labs. The deal gives CBSSI format rights in all territories except the United States and Canada. 
Sky Atlantic has renewed their ambitious original drama series Fortitude for a second season. The pick up, which is for a further 10 episodes, comes just ahead of the season one finale. Participant Media's Pivot network in the United States will again co-produce.
