Alberto Rosende & Emeraude Toubia Join ABC Family’s Mortal Instruments Adaptation ‘Shadowhunters’
Alberto Rosende (Blue Bloods) and Emeraude Toubia (Cosita Linda) have joined the cast of ABC Family's 10 episode straight-to-series drama Shadowhunters, which is based on the Mortal Instruments series of YA novels by Cassandra Clare. 

A&E, History and Lifetime have given the green-light to a remake of the iconic 1970s miniseries Roots, which has original star LeVar Burton on-board as a co-executive producer. The mini will be simulcast across all three networks in 2016.
FX has locked down another AHS veteran for American Horror Story: Hotel. Angela Bassett, who previously appeared in both AHS: Coven and AHS: Freak Show, has signed on to star in the show's 13 episode fifth season, which enters production later this Summer in LA for an October premiere.
Syfy has cancelled their CDC drama series Helix after airing two seasons of the series starring The Killing's Billy Campbell. The cancellation comes nearly three weeks after the season two finale aired on Syfy and after the show suffered a significant ratings drop in its most recent run.
With a little under two weeks until the Upfronts get underway in New York City, the first official cancellation has come through. ABC has pulled the plug on Revenge after airing four season of the series starring Emily VanCamp. The series finale will air on ABC on Sunday May 10th.
Fox has handed out a six episode straight-to-series order to Golan The Insatiable, a half-hour animated comedy inspired by the 15 minute comedy series of the same name which originally aired back in 2013 as part of the network's late night Animation Domination High-Def block.
USA Network is re-teaming with Suits creator Aaron Korsh for Paradise Pictures, a 1940s period drama set in Hollywood which has been picked up to pilot.
