USA Network Picks Up Pilot ‘Queen Of The South’ To Series

USA Network has picked up their hour-long pilot Queen Of The South to series. The drama, which is a co-production between Fox 21 Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions, has received an order for 13 episodes and is being toplined by Alice Braga (City Of God). Production is slated to commence later this year for a 2016 premiere.

ABC is sticking with what works for their 2015-2016 Fall schedule. After a pretty solid run last season, there are very few changes with the TGIT Shonda Rhimes block of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder staying put (new Rhimes drama The Catch will assume the 10pm slot after HTGAWM wraps in the Spring) and the winning Tuesday night staying more or less intact.

The Castle cast is remaining in-tact. After difficult and prolonged negotiations, Stana Katic has reached a new deal with ABC and ABC Studios which will see her reprise her role as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett on the recently ordered eighth season of Castle.
