Neil Gaiman Adaptation ‘American Gods’ Gets Series Order At Starz

StarzAfter being stuck in development hell for years (most recently at HBO), an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods is one step closer to becoming a reality. Starz has handed out a straight-to-series order to the project, which has been developed by Hannibal's Bryan Fuller and Michael Green (The River). The series order, the size of which has not been officially set, is cast contingent, with the start of production dependent on casting the lead role of Shadow Moon.

‘Penny Dreadful’ Renewed For Third Season At Sky Atlantic & Showtime

Penny Dreadful S2Sky Atlantic and Showtime have renewed hit co-production Penny Dreadful for a third season. Nine episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is set to enter production in Dublin, Ireland later this year for a 2016 premiere.

A&E Renews ‘Bates Motel’ For Two More Seasons, ‘The Returned’ Not Moving Forward

A&E is committing to Bates Motel. The network has renewed the Psycho prequel series starring Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga for an additional two seasons. The total order is for 20 episodes, which will be evenly split across the show's fourth and fifth seasons. In addition, A&E has cancelled The Returned after one 10 episode season.

Courtney Kemp Agboh Inks Overall Deal With Starz

StarzPower creator and showrunner Courtney Kemp Agboh has inked an overall deal with premium cable network Starz. Under the multi-year deal, Agboh will continue to serve as showrunner/executive producer on Power and develop new projects for the network.
