Neil Gaiman Adaptation ‘American Gods’ Gets Series Order At Starz
After being stuck in development hell for years (most recently at HBO), an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods is one step closer to becoming a reality. Starz has handed out a straight-to-series order to the project, which has been developed by Hannibal's Bryan Fuller and Michael Green (The River). The series order, the size of which has not been officially set, is cast contingent, with the start of production dependent on casting the lead role of Shadow Moon. 
Sky Atlantic and Showtime have renewed hit co-production Penny Dreadful for a third season. Nine episodes have been ordered for the show's third season, which is set to enter production in Dublin, Ireland later this year for a 2016 premiere.
HBO has released the first image for their upcoming high-profile TV movie Confirmation, which tells the story of Clarence Thomas' failed Supreme Court nomination and stars Wendell Pierce (The Wire) and Kerry Washington (Scandal).
Fresh off of a starring role on HBO's True Detective, Adria Arjona has been cast as the lead in NBC's 10 episode Wizard of Oz limited series Emerald City. She will play Dorothy gale, a head-strong 20 year old who is unwittingly sent to the mystical land of Oz.
David Harbour (State Of Affairs) and Winona Ryder (Show Me A Hero) have been cast in Netlfix's untitled 8 episode supernatural drama series (formerly known as Montauk), which hails from Matt Duffer & Ross Duffer. 
USA Network has tapped Allegiance alum Morgan Spector for a starring role in their period drama pilot Paradise Pictures, from Suits creator Aaron Korsh and sister studio Universal Cable Productions.
