Billy Magnussen To Star In FX’s Crack Cocaine Drama Pilot ‘Snowfall’
FX has found one of the three leads for their next drama pilot. Billy Magnussen (The Divide) has joined the cast of Snowfall, the network's drama project from award-winning filmmaker John Singleton which explores the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 
Kirk and Spock are staying put on the bridge of Enterprise. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, who have been playing the two characters since JJ Abrams rebooted the Star Trek film series in 2009, have signed new deals with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions which call for them to play the iconic characters in a potential fourth Trek film (should it get a greenlight from the studio).
AMC has handed out a 10 episode straight-to-series order to Broke, a U.S. adaptation of Danish series Bankerot which hails from Dexter scribe Clyde Phillips and is set up at AMC Studios and Lionsgate Television. Production is expected to commence later this year for a 2016 premiere.

ABC Family has green-lit production on Guilt, a pilot for an hour-long drama series which is similar in tone to the real life Amanda Knox case and tells the story of an American teenager who becomes the prime suspect in her roommates violent murder.
NBC has handed out an early renewal to their David Duchovny fronted 60s period drama Aquarius. The network has ordered a further 13 episodes for the show's second season, which is expected to enter production toward the end of the year for a Summer 2016 premiere. 
Netflix's newest drama series Narcos, starring Game Of Thrones alum Pedro Pascal, will debut globally on Friday August 28th, the streaming giant announced today.
