Acorn TV Acquires UK Rights To Australian Comedy Drama ‘Operation Buffalo’
Acorn TV has acquired the UK rights to Australian comedy drama series Operation Buffalo after striking a deal with international distributor About Premium Content (APC). No word just yet on a premiere date. 
Outmatched is crossing the pond. FOX UK has acquired the short-lived comedy series after striking a deal with international distributor Disney Media Distribution. The series will premiere on the channel on Thursday December 10th at 9pm with a double-bill.
Shelley Conn (Liar), Natalie Gumede (Strike), Sharon Rooney (My Mad Fat Diary) and John Thomson (Cold Feet) are set to guest star in the second season of ITV's drama series McDonald & Dodds. They will appear in the second episode. 
Gold is expanding the Drapers Tours franchise. After previously commissioning three murder mystery comedies (Murder On The Blackpool Express, Death On The Tyne, and Dial M For Middlesbrough), the UKTV owned and operated channel has ordered a three-part follow up series, titled Murder They Hope.
Amazon Prime Video UK has ordered The Rig, a six episode supernatural thriller series that hails from Wild Mercury Productions, new writer David Macpherson, and Line Of Duty helmer John Strickland.
The Good Lord Bird will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Wednesday November 18th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Industry will premiere on BBC Two on Tuesday November 10th at 9:15pm, it has been announced.
