Stephen Poliakoff’s ‘Close To The Enemy’ Gets Greenlight At BBC Two, ‘Bates Motel’s Freddie Highmore To Star

The BBC is re-teaming with Dancing On The Edge creator/director Stephen Poliakoff. BBC Two has handed out a six episode series order to Poliakoff's latest drama effort Close To The Enemy. The project, which is set in a bomb-damaged London hotel in the aftermath of the Second World War, features a large cast which includes Bates Motel star Freddie Highmore, August Diehl (Inglourious Basterds) and Jim Sturgess (One Day).

Amazon Prime Instant Video Picks Up UK Rights To New Seasons Of ‘Halt & Catch Fire’, ‘Turn’ & ‘The Red Road’

TurnAmazon Prime Instant Video UK is sticking with their most recent round of US imports. The UK arm of Amazon's streaming service has announced that they have picked up the exclusive rights to the second seasons of Halt & Catch Fire, Turn: Washington's Spies and The Red Road after agreeing a deal with international distributor Entertainment One (eOne).

Maisie Wiliams (Game Of Thrones) has landed a guest role on the upcoming ninth season of BBC One's Doctor Who. The exact nature of the her role are being kept under wraps, though the BBC did reveal that the episode in which Williams appears will be a period adventure. It is believe that the episode in question is titled 'The Girl Who Died’. which was written by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat.
