BBC One has released the first full-length trailer for their upcoming 7 episode fantasy series Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Based on the Susanna Clarke novel, the series, which is set during the Napoleonic Wars in an England where magic once existed and is about to return, stars Bertie Carvel, Eddie Marsan, Alice Englert, Marc Warren, Samuel West, Charlotte Riley, Enzo Cilenti and Paul Kaye. ‘Downton Abbey’ Creator Julian Fellowes Returning To ITV With ‘Doctor Thorne’ Adaptation
Despite the fact that Julian Fellowes' Downton Abbey is coming to an end later this year, he isn't quite done working with ITV. The much in-demand writer, who has period drama Gilded Age in the works at NBC, is returning to ITV to adapt one of his favourite novels, Doctor Thorne, as a three-part drama. Hat Trick Productions will produce with Mark Redhead, Julian Fellowes Chris Kelly and Ted Childs serving as executive producers. Production begins later this year.
